After a long drive, I just wanted a decent place to crash, but I found myself wondering if I had traded my surfboard for a haunted house. The place had stains, unclean corners, and a lingering smell that said, “This room needs a good scrub. ” On the bright side, the pool was decent, and we enjoyed the view. But if I wanted a taste of Aussie wildlife, I didn't expect it to be the half-eaten corn cob under the bed. Next time, I’ll stick to exploring the waves.

Straightforward hotel with private parking and PERFECT location very close to the Square. Location so close to the main shopping centre, the night life and surrounding areas and Supermarkets.
Dated room.

The standard queen room was exceptionally comfortable with a balcony and shower, and the staff were friendly, making it a great location close to the town center.

Location (easy to find and access from highway also), good Breakfast service (great cooking!), comfortable room, plenty of bench and storage space, and quiet over night.
Shower recess needs attention (water leaks out on to bathroom floor area) and hard to keep things dry, as no clothes hooks for hanging clothes while showering.

It was reasonably priced. Had a great 2 night-stay from the moment I checked-in. The service was great, the food was excellent.
The staff were terrible rude, didn't expect that coming.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, where my queen room had a nice balcony and shower, and the convenient location made getting around really easy.

The relative ease in finding the motel and helpfulness of the staff.
The extremely noisy fan/light in the bathroom and the lack of flyscreens made the stay less comfortable than anticipated.

Overall it is a straightforward hotel and we enjoyed the stay, the location was favourable to Supermarkets. Beautifully maintained neat rooms, they are provided with balcony and shower, for example. Overall excellent food, plus there is The Bavarian Charlestown close by. Thank you very much for a great service, totally recommend...

Great Location with Room for Improvement
I appreciated the convenient proximity to the Charlestown shopping mall and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, as there was a strong deodorizer smell and visible dirt that made our stay less enjoyable. the bathroom amenities and privacy arrangements could use significant improvement to enhance the overall experience.

Close to beaches, great wifi. 10 kms from Newcastle center but beautiful ride along coast.
No screens I.E. lots of musquitoes when you shower with the light on ! Hard mattress. Noise from traffic however there are units in the back. So, ask for them when you make a booking!

The state of the room-dull, worn out, no view or outlook and in desperate need of a re-do.
